Mr. Amir Khan,
President & CEO of HBL Microfinance Bank

Mr. Amir Khan is a seasoned banking professional with over 32 years of experience in consumer and commercial banking. Since 2012, he has served as President & CEO of HBL Microfinance Bank, where his strategic leadership and commitment to excellence have driven strong institutional growth. Under his stewardship, the Bank was recognized as the Best Bank in the Microfinance Industry in Pakistan for consecutive years in 2022 and 2023. Prior to this, Mr. Khan held senior leadership roles at leading international institutions, including Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, and Royal Bank of Scotland. He also served as CEO of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, where he played a foundational role in establishing and operationalizing the bank. Beyond his executive role, Mr. Khan contributes actively to the sector as Chairperson of Pakistan Microfinance Network and as a Member of the Microfinance Consultative Group. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
