Board of Directors (BoD) – GAFI FZ-LLC

The Board of Directors (BoD) serves as the governing body of GAFI FZ-LLC. Currently, each GAFI member is represented on the Board by their Executive Head or CEO. If a member does not have a CEO or Executive Head, the President or Chairperson fulfilling an executive role will act as their representative. The Board may expand as new members join.

Responsibilities of the Board:

The BoD is responsible for GAFI’s overall policy and strategic direction, meeting quarterly to oversee its progress. It delegates daily operational responsibilities to the Manager and carries out the following functions:

1- Establishes broad policy guidelines.

2- Approves new memberships and strategic partnerships.

3- Reviews and endorses business plans, budgets, and key milestones.

4- Supports the Manager in increasing visibility, fundraising, and engaging with key microfinance stakeholders.

5- Monitors and evaluates the Manager’s performance.

Advisory Body

GAFI may establish an Advisory Body as part of its governance framework to engage a broader set of microfinance stakeholders.
