Amjad Ali Arbab brings 40 years of experience in development and commercial banking, with deep expertise in financial inclusion, SME, agriculture, and digital finance. He served as Senior Advisor, South Asia with CGAP/World Bank, where he helped establish Karandaaz, a $100M initiative to support SME finance in Pakistan. He has held leadership roles at Enclude, MISFA (Afghanistan), and was a founding member of Bank of Khyber, pioneering micro and SME finance programs. He has worked with global donors, including the World Bank, DFID, and SIDA, and led strategic initiatives in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mr. Arbab also served in senior roles at AKRSP, ADBP, and various NGOs. He holds Master’s degrees in International Relations (Johns Hopkins SAIS) and Political Science (University of Peshawar). He currently serves on multiple boards supporting education, microfinance, and inclusive finance initiatives in Pakistan and the region.
