Jhale Hajiyeva is the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMFA), with over 20 years of experience in microfinance, financial inclusion, and sector development. She leads initiatives to build institutional capacity, diversify financial services, and promote sustainable growth across Azerbaijan’s financial sector. She has served on global platforms, including as Chair of the Microfinance Centre for Eastern Europe and CIS (2008–2014) and Board Member of the SEEP Network (2009–2015), also contributing to SEEP’s Advisory Council on Association Development until 2021. Jhale’s contributions have earned her awards from SEEP, USAID-Iraq, IFC, EBRD, and others. In 2017, she received the “Progress” Medal from the President of Azerbaijan for advancing entrepreneurship and economic development. She is Vice President of ASK, chairs its Women’s Entrepreneurship Commission, and co-founded the Association for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship. In 2025, she joined the Public Council under KOBİA, continuing her advocacy for inclusive finance.
