Mr. Amir Khan, President & CEO of HBL Microfinance Bank since 2012, brings over 32 years of experience in consumer and commercial banking. Under his leadership, the Bank was recognized as the Best Microfinance Bank in Pakistan in 2022 and 2023, reflecting his strategic vision and commitment to excellence. Prior to HBL Microfinance Bank, Mr. Khan held senior roles at Standard Chartered, ABN AMRO, and Royal Bank of Scotland. He also served as CEO of Mobilink Microfinance Bank, where he played a key role in establishing its operations. Mr. Khan serves as Chairperson of the Pakistan Microfinance Network and leads the Subcommittee for Microfinance Banks at the Pakistan Banking Association. He is also a member of the Microfinance Consultative Group, actively contributing to policy and sector development. He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, and is widely respected for advancing financial inclusion in Pakistan.
