Timothy Tarrant joined FINCA Azerbaijan in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In the 12 years prior to joining FINCA Azerbaijan, Mr. Tarrant worked as CEO for 3 other FINCA network subsidiaries in the Eurasia region. He has also served on various FINCA network subsidiary Supervisory Boards and Audit Committees of other institutions. Timothy’s industry experiences range from managing MFI start-ups to network flagship subsidiaries, and includes MFI greenfield, digital transformations, successful workouts, and successful restructurings. Prior to FINCA, Mr. Tarrant worked mainly in investment promotion and consulting focused on the Russian market. He has over 25+ years of management and business experience in Eastern Europe, including the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia. Mr. Tarrant holds an MBA with a focus in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in International Relations from the University of Memphis. He also completed the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2007.
