Winnie Terry is a Microfinance Practitioner who has over 20 years experience working within the Microfinance sub sector in Tanzania. She has practical experience in Microfinance at various levels before joining the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Tanzania (TAMFI) as an Executive Director.
Winnie’s journey in Microfinance started with FINCA Tanzania and she worked as a Financial Services Manager, in charge of the management, development and operations. Thereafter, Winnie joined Tujijenge Tanzania, an MFI she established operations and structures of the company from the start as a Managing Director.
She moved to the Tanzania Association of Microfinance Institutions (TAMFI) as an Executive Director where she plays an overall role of providing an effective and high-quality support to microfinance practitioners and stakeholders as a whole. She has attended numerous microfinance trainings, workshops and conferences.
Winnie lives and works in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. She appreciates seeing that there are innovative and inclusive financing options available to low-income people which can contribute to their growth and wellbeing.
