Mr. Nadir Gul Barech is a seasoned development practitioner with decades of experience leading community-driven initiatives focused on rural transformation, social inclusion, and sustainable development. He has championed poverty reduction through grassroots institution-building, financial inclusion, and rights-based approaches, significantly impacting marginalized communities. He currently serves as CEO of Pakistan’s leading poverty alleviation institution, globally recognized for its work in microcredit and infrastructure development. Under his leadership, the organization has achieved remarkable progress in microfinance, climate resilience, and disaster recovery, earning awards such as the International Energy Workforce Award (2024), IFAD Gender Award (Asia-Pacific), and Global Diversity & Inclusion Achievement Award. Mr. Barech has held senior roles across development sectors, advancing gender equality, reproductive health, and economic growth. His innovative grassroots models have been replicated internationally. He is a recipient of the President of Pakistan’s Gold Medal, the AARDO Award for Excellence (2012), and the FPCCI Gold Medal (2019) for his contributions to rural development.
