Personal Information

Prof. M. A. Baqui Khalily is an accomplished academician and finance scholar. He was formerly a Professor of Finance at the University of Dhaka, where he taught for 37 years and also served as Chairman of the Department of Finance. He holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Rural Finance and Banking from Ohio State University, USA. Professor Khalily was the founding Executive Director of the Institute of Microfinance (InM), Bangladesh. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Asia Pacific in Dhaka. His research interests encompass financial markets, rural finance, microcredit, and entrepreneurship development.
